The global premiere of Tata Zica, now known as Tata Tiago, was held at 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. Now Tata Motors showcased the Tata Tiago at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show also. The hatchback is expected to go on sale from 28th march 2016. Presently Tata dealers all over the country have opened the bookings for the customers. The test drive reviews from the consumers are positive and satisfying. The original name ‘Zica’ was changed to Tiago as the former rhymes with the deadly Zika virus.
The Tiago hatchback has a wide mesh grille and swept back headlamps as seen in the Bolt and the Zest. Tata Tiago car interiors look no less compared to Zest and Bolt. Tata always tries to keep its cabins spacious but for this new car along with that one can see good quality seating along with equipment. The top end car is expected to come with the Bluetooth compatibility and the touch-screen unit from the Bolt. Interior is having layered design theme. It is having premium graphics on fabric, good storage space designed for easy access, all controls are placed within reach and has a customized air vents.
Tiago’s petrol variants have Tata’s all new 1.2 litre, Revotron petrol engine with a power output of 80 to 85 Bhp and with a torque of 110 to 120 Nm. Petrol engine comes with a five-speed manual transmission. Diesel variants will come equipped with a 1.05 litre with a power output of 64 Bhp and a torque of 140 NM. Diesel engine will also come with a five-speed manual transmission. Tata also may have plans to come up with an automated manual transmission on the hatchback later.

Features that are included inside the cabin are power windows, power adjusting outside rear view mirrors, rear defogger, a 2 DIN audio system, Bluetooth, AUX-In and USB connectivity, steering mounted audio controls and telephone controls.

The mileage of Tata Tiago petrol car is expected to be around 18 km to 19 km per litre and that of diesel cars are expected to be 25 km per litre.
Tata Tiago is expected to be priced around INR 3.75 lakhs to INR 5.5 lakhs.
It is expected to compete with Maruti Celerio, Hyundai Grand i10, Mahindra KUV100 and Ford Figo.
